Florida AIDS Walk
Sunday, March 20, 2011
Join us as we walk and raise Money for HIV. PleaseREGISTER Under our OASIS team. (Please email info@OASISHIVAIDS.COM if your coming.)

Times:

• 8:00 am : Registration/Check-In (Registration/Check-In located on the first floor of Parking Garage east of the Museum)
• 9:20 am : Opening Ceremony at Huizenga Plaza, Fort Lauderdale
• 10:00 am : Walk begins (see route map, below)
• 1:00 pm : Post-Walk Celebration - check back for details.

Walk Route Information:
Florida AIDS Walk is a 10 Kilometer walk through the heart of downtown, Ft. Lauderdale, to the beach and back. Most people will take about two hours to walk the 10 kilometers. There will be a halfway turnaround point and relief shuttles for those who need additional assistance. Refreshments and restroom facilities will be provided at checkpoints along the route.

Directions to Huizenga Plaza, Ft. Lauderdale:
Huizenga Plaza is a 1.8 acre park in the heart of downtown. It is on the southeast corner of Las Olas and Andrews Avenue and across from Riverfront.

From the South take I-95 North and exit at Broward Blvd. Make a right onto Broward Blvd. and proceed east to Andrews Avenue. Make a right and the park is two blocks down on your left.

From the North take I-95 South to Broward Blvd. Make a left onto Broward Blvd. and proceed east to Andrews Avenue. Make a right and the park is two blocks down on your left.

From the West take I-595 East to I-95 North and exit at Broward Blvd. Make a right onto Broward Blvd. and proceed east to Andrews Avenue. Make a right and the park is two blocks down on your left.

Important Information:
People who wish to attend the Walk but have not registered online and/or raised a minimum of $25 will need to register and pay $25 prior to being admitted to the event.

For those who are infected or directly affected with HIV. We have informative updates, Q and A, short Bible study, prayer and a short time of singing with the OASIS band.

OASIS & REFUGE MINISTRIES BACK TO SCHOOL BACKPACK OUTREACH
Begins July 24-August 6
All Campuses (Sanctuary Lobby) Join our Oasis and Refuge ministries by donating backpacks to be distributed to needy children in the Avondale Community and at the Children's Diagnostic Treatment Center. For more info, please stop by our East Corridor Table or call 954-556-4517.

Please register to volunteer to deliver the backpacks on Saturday, 8/14/2010 from 10:00am-2:00pm. Please note twenty volunteers is our limit.

National HIV Testing Day

Join Pastor Bob and take the test. We'll be offering free mobile testing for HIV at the Fort Lauderdale campus only. Get results in 20 minutes. If you can't make it, then stop by Oasis any Wednesday, from 1:30-5:30pm, for your free test.

We're in need of administrative volunteers to help out during and after each service. Please register for the service time(s) of your choice.

There is no fee required to join the team, you can make a donation to the organization if you choose to, but it’s not necessary in order to join our team.

Making of Scripture Cards (Love Out Loud)

You have no idea how much these scripture cards mean to those who receive them. Many people hang them on their wall or carry them around with them to remind them of God's Promises. Even more important many are moved that someone would care enough about them to take the time to personally make them something special. We hand them out at all outreaches, hospital visits, when counseling and with every gift we hand out. You have no idea what a meaningful impact you will be making with these cards.

I want you to be creative and make these cards as the Lord would lead you. I know you will put your heart into it. It's a fun day to spend with your children.

**If you can (If not, that's ok, come anyway & bring a smile!)** If you are able: bring extra items to share, like stickers, glitter, scalloped scissors, regular scissors, colored index cards (Any Size) etc.

You may want to bring your own Bible or pray about encouraging scriptures that the Lord has put on your heart.
